Wedding bands like the CoverUps have spent most of their lives honing their skills on their various instruments; guitars played with finess, drums played with genuine sensitivity, and bass played with passion. The sum really is greater than the sum of it’s parts! And it’s that energy that’s created when a wedding band plays together live that draws people in, and gives a real sense of the moment.

We love working alongside great DJs. In our numerous shows with DJs in recent years, the whole band have had a great time performing the hits that the DJ was planning! It’s refreshing – and it gives them the opportunity to push the boundaries of their usual set list. There are genres of music that any band, however versatile, may not perform… for example, we don’t play much Abba! So it’s great to have that available, if that’s what you’re after. Being able to make requests from any decade in any style is a great strength of a DJ – though we often find that people just want to dance, so slick back-to-back tunes is something we pride ourselves on.
